Mess = Stress

I have a lot of stuff on my plate. Yes, I know that everyone can relate and will agree with me about that. It’s just all about how we manage it and how we organize our stuff and our tasks. ORGANIZE is the key word here, people. Personally, I struggle with this. You can walk into my bedroom and see clothes on the floor that have been there for days. Hi, I’m messy. It’s sort of embarrassing to admit, but, forever I have struggled with keeping my life, my stuff, and my space organized.

I have learned that I cannot focus unless I am working in a clean space. Not only was my house a mess, but so was my computer. I constantly had at least five tabs open and about three word documents up at a time. Between juggling all of the different things that I was working on at once, something was bound to be lost or deleted.

I can openly admit that I did not actively read blogs or blog for myself until I came to work at Social Magnolias. Pinterest was actually the first time that I read a blog. I would click a pin and it would take me to someone’s blog. It was kind of addicting. That was when I realized; there are tons of blogs about organization all over the Internet! These people can actually help me!

After reading many different blogs on organization for my home and my computer, I feel like I have become a much better roommate and employee. I am so much more focused and can quickly complete my tasks each day, all because I finally got my life organized. I figured out how to keep my workspace at my house clean and how to effectively organize my tasks for the day while I’m at work. I used to have a problem with trying to complete too many things at once, and that would cause me to freak out and not complete any of them at all. Not good. After getting organized, my workweek is so much more enjoyable and efficient.

Penelope loves lists. This is literally the greatest blog that I have ever found. I was cracking up the entire time reading all of her stories. She has the most creative and helpful organization tips for young single gals, moms with young children, all the way up to those empty nesters with grown children, like my mother (sorry Kym, love you).

My favorite one that I read is titled, “ How To Get More Done In Your Day :: or, how to eat Monday for breakfast” Check out this blog. Do it! I hope you find it as entertaining and helpful as I did!
